Baking / Patisserie

Do you already have the knowledge of the basic principles of kitchen work?  Does the Patisserie Department in the kitchen entice you? Would you like to specialise in Patisserie?  Can you demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to work and study to further your career as a Qualified Patisserie Chef?  This programme covers Food Safety, Safety at Work, Preparation of the Cooking and Finishing of a wide range of Patisserie products.

Duration

A maximum of 1 year is allowed to complete this programme, with a minimum expected duration of 360 hours for Home Study.  If you opt for the City & Guilds Qualification, a minimum of 185 hours for Industry Practicals are also expected.

Online Studies

The studies you will complete from your own home, via our Learner Management System.  Our Key Benefits will ensure you stay motivated whilst studying with International Culinary Studio.  Once registered, your Student Experience will be accessible and your learning material available on any pc, portable or mobile smart device (Technology Programme Requirements).  Our Chef Instructors will be available and will guide you through your programme to successful course completion.

All assignments will be assessed by our Assessors.

On completion of this Baking / Patisserie programme you could progress into employment specialising in Patisserie and/or continue your studies further with International Culinary Studio.

On completion of this course, you will be awarded with:

City & Guilds Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking (Patisserie) (8065-03)

Minimum Enrolment Requirements

  • You must be 16 years or older, with a minimum of 8 years schooling.
  • If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide evidence of your English Language skills. This is an IELTS result of a General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.  For more information please visit ielts.org

  • Chef Uniform and Safety Shoes for practical’s.
