The Student Experience!

Your Enrolment….

  • Register

    Complete the registration form

  • Documentation

    Submit all required documentation

  • Invoiced

    An invoice will be generated and emailed to you

  • Confirmation

    Our Student Administrator will send you confirmation of your registration

Your Induction….

  • Welcome Letter

    You will receive a welcome letter with your student login details for your learner management system, along with a preference letter (this helps us to determine when is the most convient time for tutor contact with you along with other helpful information for us)

  • Student # / Card

    You will receive your student number and your student card* will be mailed to you

  • Welcome Call

    Your Chef Instructor will arrange a welcome call/video meeting to induct you and discuss your course programme

  • Welcome Pack

    Your welcome pack will be sent off to you.

Your Learner Management System….

  • Learner Management System (LMS)

    Fun, Interactive and Engaging Learner Management System (LMS) where you will be able to access your course material to study,

  • Initial Essentials

    This will consist of your initial Student Handbook, Study Guide, Lesson Outlines and suggested calendar.

  • How to Complete Required Tasks

    Your course consisting of both Theory and Practicals – (which will need to be completed at home or in the workplace) will take place on the LMS and after each section you will have a course checkpoint or self assessment.

  • Grading

    Formal assessments will be graded by your Chef Instructor as well as your uploaded videos of your practical self assessments

  • View Grades

    You will be able to view your grades and achievements and these will remain on your e portfolio.

  • Calendar

    Your Personalised student calendar will keep you motivated along with the support and mentoring from your Chef Instructor.

  • Webinars

    Weekly Webinars, Discussion Boards and Fun events such as a Mystery Basket Cook Off will help enage you with your peers and provide additional support along the way

  • Get Badges!

    On successful completion of each module, you will be awarded badges which you will be able to share with family and friends on Social Media to also encourage you on your way.

Your Learner Management System….

  • Exams

    Once you have successfully completed all the assigned studies and Practicals and been deemed competent, you will be able to book yourself into the Final City & Guilds Examinations. You will be allocated a City Centre closest to you where the Final Practical Assessment will take place in an Industrial Kitchen and your Final Theoretical Exam will take place in a classroom examination environment.

  • Assessment Verified

    Your final assessment is determined by a City & Guilds Assessor and Verified by City & Guilds.

  • Certified

    Successful Certification will be sent to you after all the verification has been completed. This can take a few months as it all goes through the United Kingdom Offices.

Certificate of Achievement.

  • COMPLETE

    A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded by International Culinary Studio on successful completion of the programme.
